The Icon Project

Austin’s largest restaurant Carmelo’s hosts 7 David Adickes statues, owner says they are a huge success. Carmlo’s is located in the heart of Austin at the historic Old Depot Hotel, recorded on the National Register as a Texas Landmark, it is the oldest standing train depot in Texas. Built in 1872 by designer and architect Abner Cook, the “Railroad House” accommodated passengers traveling to other railroads and four stagecoach lines.

We will take your concept, idol or mentor and create a mammoth statue out of it. We have created well over a hundred statues in the last fifteen years including the 43 enormous busts of all of the American Presidents as displayed at The President’s Park in The Black Hills of South Dakota and the 67 foot Sam Houston (the World’s tallest Statue of an American Hero) displayed off of the interstate in Huntsvile, Texas. Under the direction of Internationally known artist David Adickes, the ICON PROJECT will take your dream and turn it into a permanent creation of art that will be a wonderful tribute to your mentor, idol or relative.

To discuss your ICON PROJECT contact us by email, we are looking forward to turning your project into an incredible reality.
